On the way to Napflio we stopped at Mystras.  We started at the top of the hill and walked down the side through the ruins, visiting a working convent on the way down.  Detailed history was given by the local guide.  Wonderful paintings were preserved on the ceiling of one of the church ruins. Handiwork, made by the nuns, was available to buy to help with their support.

Mycenae was a morning's outing from Napflio; fascinating, and very much a ruin in another beautiful setting.

Napflio was my 'vacation from my vacation' even though we still were occupied with wine tasting, dancing and ruins.  While I did roam behind the hotel to take photographs of the fort, as well as wandering down to the harbor, I spent a lovely few hours sitting on the terrace outside my room overlooking the hills and sea, relaxing.  Why go looking for a view when there is one right outside your door?
